The Tale

Across centuries of folklore, the raven has been the constant companion of the scholar and the seer. Whether it is Odin’s messengers, Hugin and Munin, or the watchful bird of Poe’s midnight dreary, the raven represents the intersection of wisdom and mystery. Our Archivist’s Familiar earrings depict a noble raven perched atop a stack of three ancient folios—guarding the knowledge within and perhaps waiting for the right traveler to reveal a secret to.

The Craft

We’ve utilized a thicker timber for these pieces to give the raven a sturdy, commanding presence.

The Material: Laser-etched from 1/8" Birch Plywood. This extra thickness provides a satisfying "substantial" feel while remaining light enough for all-day wear.

The Design: A detailed illustration featuring the layered textures of weathered book spines and the intricate feather-work of the watchful raven.

The Finish: Natural & Raw. Left unsealed to highlight the high-contrast "inked" look of the laser engraving against the pale birch grain.

Dimensions: Approximately 2" long and 1" wide—a classic folio shape that frames the face with a scholarly, gothic silhouette.
